SUBSTANCE: isolated strain of the Microbacterium NRRL B-50470 species having suppressor activity against fusariosis, compositions and methods using this strain are proposed. A method for prevention of fusariosis development involves growing a microbial strain or its culture in a growth medium or plant soil. The treatment method against fusariosis development comprises application of an effective amount of a microbial strain or a culture thereof to the plant or its environment. A seed that is resistant to Fusarium fungus infection, coated by a composition comprising the strain, and a grain plant resistant to Fusarium fungus infection, artificially infected with the strain or its culture, are also proposed.
EFFECT: inventions are effective in controlling fusariosis of cereal plants, such as wheat and barley.
