FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, treatment of metallurgical melts in ladle with powdery reagents. SUBSTANCE: wire has shell and powder filler from aluminum and calcium. Wire contains the following ratio of components, wt.%: powder filler, 37-55; steel shell, 49-63. Thickness of steel sheet (mm) amounts to value of 0.0094-0.011 of amount of powder filler (wt. %). Bulk weight of calcium powder is within 0.55-0.75 of bulk weight of aluminum powder. EFFECT: increased degree of calcium and aluminum utilization, full globularization of nonmetallic inclusions and higher foundry and mechanical properties of steel. 1 cl
