FIELD: dimensional working of metal, for example for making riffles on large-diameter rolling rolls of high strength cast iron. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of screening part surface by means of dielectric screen whose openings correspond to contour of worked shaped cavities and have chamfers 45-55 degrees. Portions of openings with the largest dimensions are arranged at inner side of screen. Part may perform rotation relative to stationary tool-electrode. After placing part in bath of electrolyte and setting interelectrode gap equal to 0.015-0.025 of part diameter, anode treatment is started in stationary bath. When electric current is reduced by more than 20% of initially set value, forced supply of electrolyte into bath is realized. Electrolyte is fed through hollow portions of tool-electrode by means of openings in walls of said portions in such a way that vector of stream direction is coincided with line joining opening axis with center of respective screen. It allows to decrease by 10 times and more (in comparison with mechanical working process) labor consumption at making parts of high strength cast iron. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
