APPARATUS FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL DULLING OF ROLLS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: electrochemical treatment of electrically conductive materials, particularly imparting desired roughness degree (dull finishing) to working surface of rolls of rolls mills. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes bath for electrolyte in which electrode is placed. Screen of elastic dielectric net in the form of cylinder is tightly put onto treated roll. Near electrolyte bath there is reservoir for forced cooling of electrolyte. Pump is mounted in said reservoir and it is connected with sprayer arranged over bath with possibility of motion. Settler of electrolyte is in the form of cone bottom of bath provided with damper. Apparatus also includes drive unit for rotating roll and power source. Invention allows to stabilize temperature of roll and electrolyte, to reliably fix screen along the whole working surface of roll, to continuously remove anode dissolution products out of meshes of screen for providing predetermined microrelief on working surface of roll. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of apparatus, improved accuracy and quality of microrelief on working surface of rolls. 2 cl, 2 dwg
