METHOD FOR TREATING URINARY FISTULA Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves healing fistulas, transplanting allogenic human fibroblasts along the fistula path. The transplant is covered with gauze treated with paraffin. One day later after the transplantation being done, pulsating laser radiation of wavelength equal to 0.89 mcm is applied. Mean radiation power is not less than 3 W. Impulse succession frequency is equal to 1500 Hz, impulse duration is 70-300 ns. Radiation is sent from the distance of 10-12 cm over two action fields. The first action field is located immediately before the pubic symphysis on the median line. The second action field includes perineal area between the external genitalia and the anus. Exposure time is equal to 5 min. The total course is 10-12 procedures long. The procedures are applied twice a day after 12 o'clock before changing sterile bandages. Preparation Trianol is concurrently administered in the amount of 2 capsules a day before taking meals during 4 weeks. Urethral catheter is set on time from 5 to 7 days.
