FIELD: repairing of armored tanks. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of weakening tension of caterpillar branch, tightening by means of straps two adjacent tracks on inclined portion of caterpillar under driving or guiding wheels; unscrewing nuts of track pin; fitting technological tip onto pin and knocking out pin by means of drift with use of sledge hammer. Preliminarily before pin knocking out, burning out outer surface of rubber sleeves of rubber-metallic joint assembly by means of soldering torch. EFFECT: possibility for quickly removing caterpillar, for example from tank in field condition without use of complex fittings. 1 dwg
