FIELD: repair of special systems of armour armament and equipment. SUBSTANCE: the most labour-consuming and typical job at repair of tanks in the field conditions both in the peace and war times is the repair of special systems, in particular, fault- finding. The existing methods for fault-finding: the method for trial replacement, comparison of operating conditions, employment of specially developed semi-automatic instruments do not ensure the required efficiency of repair of tanks and infantry combat vehicles. The reliability is enhanced by connection of the instrument panel by wires with needles to the wires of the preliminarily removed hull components of unit connectors without disturbance of system operation. For system diagnostics in the process of its switching and operation any measuring devices are used in the check points: a tester, voltmeter, oscilloscope. The check points are found by reference to wiring diagrams and charts of working voltages and currents. The method can be easily realized in the field conditions, it doesn't require any complex special equipment, makes it possible to quickly and with a high trustworthiness find any malfunction in special systems.
