METHOD OF REPLACEMENT OF UNDERGROUND ENGINEERING SERVICE LINES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: method may be used for replacement, repair and reconstruction of old underground engineering service lines, mainly, pipeline systems. Method includes trench opening, division of pipeline section to be replaced into lengths and hoisting them into trench berm by means of hoisting mechanism. For this purpose accessional sectional coverings coupled to one another at ends are installed preliminarily above route of pipeline being replaced. These coverings are provided with load-carrying beam fitted with hoisting mechanism moving along it. Pipeline replacement process is performed with successive displacement of sectional coverings from sections of finished laying forward in direction of replacement operations along route. Method extends process capabilities of pipeline replacement and improves conditions of performing repair operations in cases of unfavorable meteorological and time factors.
