FIELD: object motion automatic control and translation systems. SUBSTANCE: transducer has a coded information carrier in the form of a flat-type winding connected to a radio-frequency oscillator, reading magnetic head with a magnetic gap installed for movement in parallel with the coded information carrier. The current-conducting components of the operating zone of the flat-type winding are positioned perpendicularly to the motion of the reading magnetic head with the magnetic gap. The coded information carrier is made in the form of a meander with pitch d=0.4 to 1.2 mm. In the direction perpendicular to the motion of the reading magnetic head located in turn are the current-conducting components manufactured of magnetic and non-magnetic materials. The axis of the magnetic gap of the reading magnetic head is positioned in parallel with the axes of the current-conducting components of the meander operating zone, or at an angle of 2 to 4 deg. to them.
