METHANE TANK Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2163430 C1

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: methane tank has hermetically sealed reservoir with gas accumulating throat, partition wall which is concentrically and coaxially attached inside reservoir to its upper part so as to divide reservoir into outer and inner fermentation chambers. Partition wall does not reach reservoir bottom. Methane tank is further provided with branch pipe for supplying liquefied organic wastes to outer chamber, pipe for discharging fermented sediment from inner chamber, and pipe for discharging biogas from outer and inner chambers. Reservoir is made spherical and partition wall is formed as truncated cone with larger base oriented downward. Methane tank of such construction may be used for sequential staged anaerobic fermentation of different kinds of organic wastes, such as manure or bird dung to produce organic fertilizers and fusible gas. EFFECT: increased efficiency by stabilized operation of methane tank, simplified manufacture process and operation and reduced heat loss. 2 dwg
