FIELD: sanitary engineering and means for environmental control, particularly, means for purification of drinking water, more specifically, means for disinfection of water from bacteria. SUBSTANCE: device includes at least two electrodes for connection with respective poles of electric current source. Electrodes are made of alloy of silver, copper and gold, with silver weight in alloy amounting from 49.8 to 90%, copper weight from 9.8 to 50%, and gold weight from 0.1 to 0.2%. The device may be provided with carrying member on which current source may be installed. Electrodes may be made for automatic closing of electric circuit with at least partially introduction of these electrodes into volume of water to be disinfected.
