FIELD: electrode coating compositions, possibly of electrodes for welding non-important constructions of low carbon steel. SUBSTANCE: composition includes next components (mass %): dolomite 14-17; ferromanganese 15-18; muscovite mica 4-6; feldspar- mica-quartz shale 10-12; ilmenite concentrate - the balance. Composition provides high quality welding electrodes with low cost price due to use of available raw materials. EFFECT: enhanced strength of ready electrode coating, improved plastic properties of coat mass and releasing properties of slag scum, additional gas shielding, lowered labor consumption for making electrodes. 1 tbl
