FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: process involves dehydration of carnallite, its melting in flow of gases carrying hydrogen chloride, overheating of melt, its settling and supply for electrolysis. Melt is overheated to temperature of 750-850 C with its agitation by inert gas containing up to 21% of oxygen and up to 6% of water. EFFECT: raised quality of carnallite charged into electrolyser, reduced losses of carnallite with slime.
