FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; production of the magnesium by the electrolysis of the melted anhydrous carnallite.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the nonferrous metallurgy and may be used for production of the magnesium by electrolysis of the melted anhydrous carnallite. The flow line contains the flow electrolythers, the separating mixer and the furnaces for production of the anhydrous carnallite, connected by the transportation channel with the flow line of electrolyzers through the tanks-batchers ensuring the continuous feeding of the electrolyzers by the anhydrous carnallite. The furnaces are made with the capability of the continuous feeding of the carnallite in the transportation channel having the shutters for the periodic feeding of the carnallite into the tanks-batchers. The flow line is supplied by the refining electrolyzer. At that the separating mixer is connected to the channels of the tail and refining electrolyzers at the angle of 90° to the longitudinal axis of the mixer. The collecting cells of the refining electrolyzer are placed in parallel to the working planes of its anodes and cathodes. The invention ensures the increased efficiency, the decreased operational costs and provision of the safety conditions at continuous production of the magnesium and the anhydrous carnallite in the flow line.
