FIELD: thermal engineering. SUBSTANCE: process includes heating of delivery water returned from users by extraction steam with aid of main heating-system heaters of extraction turbines. During peak heat demand periods delivery water is additionally heated using thermal power of peak-demand water boilers, Delivery water leaks in heat supply system are replenished by makeup water. Feedwater, steam, and condensate losses in steam-water line of plant are compensated for by demineralized and deaerated emergency feedwater passed to feedwater line of steam boilers. During peak heat demand periods delivery water is heated in surface water-to-water heat exchangers with water heated in water boilers and force circulated over closed loop incorporating water boilers and surface water-to-water heat exchangers. Delivery water leaks in closed loop are compensated for by supplying emergency feedwater. EFFECT: improved reliability and economic efficiency of power plant. 1 dwg
