FIELD: equipment for preparing melt metals. SUBSTANCE: melting-and-gasifying apparatus for making melt metal includes feed pipelines for oxygen containing gases, carbon carriers and metal carriers. Apparatus has at least one gas-discharge pipeline for reduction gas received in melting-gasifying apparatus. At least one pipeline for supplying metal carriers is arranged in zone of upper crown of melting-gasifying apparatus. Inside melting-gasifying apparatus lower than inlet portion of pipeline for supplying metal carriers there is inclined refractory wall tapered relative to vertical line and designed for impinging with metal carriers sinking by gravity. Over said inclined wall there are devices for heating space between inlet portion of pipeline for supplying metal carriers and inclined wall. EFFECT: improved design of crown of apparatus allowing to process finely dispersed metal carriers without briquetting, elimination of carrying away of charged finely dispersed metal carriers from melting-gasifying apparatus by reduction gas generated in it. 9 cl, 2 dwg
