FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the method for production of metal melt from at least partially fine-grained metal carriers in a melting-gasification apparatus consists in their melting in a layer formed by solid carbon carriers at feeding of carbon-bearing material and oxygen or oxygen-containing gas, at a simultaneous development of reducing gas. The metal carrier is charged into a high-temperature combustion zone maintained due to the combustion process, and melted in it at least for the most part or completely. The high-temperature combustion zone is spatially isolated from the free area of the melting-gasification apparatus located over the layer formed by the solid carbon carriers, and is included in it. The exhaust gases, developed in the high-temperature combustion zone, come out from it, passing through at least part of the layer formed by the solid carbon carriers, and besides, the exhaust gases are cooled down in it and rejected from the melting-gasification apparatus together with the reducing gas developed inside the layer formed by the solid carbon carriers. EFFECT: prevented carry-over of fine-grained materials. 13 cl, 1 dwg
