SUBSTANCE: high-speed steel contains components in the following ratio, mas.%: carbon, 0.8-1.10; silicon, 0.2-0.4; manganese, 0.2-0.5; chromium, 4.3-6.2; molybdenum, 4.6-5.8; tungsten, 4.9-6.8; vanadium, 0.8-2.5; zirconium, 0.4-0.25; nitrogen, 0.05-0.08; sulfur, 0.0015-0.0.25; phosphorus, 0.025-0.035; iron, the balance. Offered steel may replace the existing cobalt high-speed steels. Introduction of nitrogen and zirconium into alloy makes it possible to increase resistance to paint and durability of steel.
