FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves warming animals by means of hot water, supporting heat carrier temperature at constant level in automated mode, applying continuous animal temperature control, fixing the animals, warming the animals under control. An animal is warmed by placing it into hot water in thermal bath reservoir. Rectal temperature is measured by means of differential thermocouple like copper-constantan connected to microvoltmeter-microampermeter of constant current by correlating rectal temperature (degrees) and instrument readings (in microvolts). The animals are fixed by means of special purpose fixing stall which tilt angle provides animals to be sunk into hot water to the neck level with breathing function retained in normal state. Diethyl ester is applied as narcotic agent. EFFECT: uniform, deep and accelerated heating of animal organism; continuous and accurate rectal temperature measurement. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
