FIELD: rocketry and space engineering; construction of cryogenic stages used for injection of payloads from reference orbit into working high-energy orbits. SUBSTANCE: according to invention, cryogenic stage includes oxidizer tank with suspension truss, inclined toroidal fuel tank, cruising engine, inter-tank compartment and supporting truss for mating with launch vehicle. Oxidizer tank is lens-shaped in shape formed by two segments of two spheres engaged over circumference by means of frames. Load-bearing inter-tank compartment is made in form of upper and lower frames and stringers; suspension truss is supported by upper frame. Lower end of additional upper truss used for mating with payload is also supported by this frame. Mounted on outer envelope of fuel tank enplane located at angle of 3 to 5 deg. relative to its equatorial plane are brackets secured to lower frame of inter-tank compartment. Upper end of supporting truss used for mating with launch vehicle is connected with above-mentioned brackets by means of separation member. EFFECT: reduced mass of cryogenic stage at advantage in its dry mass of 7 to 10%; reduced consumption of labor required for manufacture of cryogenic stage. 1 dwg
