FIELD: internal diseases. SUBSTANCE: iron-induced chemiluminescence of reference model system containing phosphate buffer (20 mM KH2PO4, 105 mM KCl, pH 7.45), 45 mM sodium citrate, and luminol and of the same system to which 0.5 ml of patient's condensate is added are registered to determine ratio of latent period value plus summary luminescence of the reference model system to the same characteristic of the experimental model system. When this ratio is less than 1.05 (normal ratio 1.16 +/- 0.03), antioxidant activity of patient's condensate is regarded as low, characterizing unfavorable and chronic course of disease, whereas elevation of the above-named ratio in the course of treatment is regarded as characterizing the end of inflammatory process.
