FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: pouring pot is adapted for delivery of molten metal into crystallizer having two long sides and two short sides. Pouring pot has two main pouring openings ion its lower end in opposite side walls of pot. Flows of molten metal are supplied through these openings towards each short side of crystallizer. Pouring pot is further provided with at least two openings formed in its bottom and arranged in two groups at both sides of longitudinal plane of symmetry within which longitudinal axes of main pouring openings are extending. Steams of molten metal flow from bottom openings and penetrate deep into casting space to provide for uniform warming up and good mixing of molten metal bath. Pouring pot of such construction is used for casting of flat metal products. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of ingots. 6 cl, 8 dwg
