FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, equipment of blast-furnace air heaters. SUBSTANCE: slide valve has cooled shutoff disc and lined body with circular stops forming channel between them for shutoff disc. Stop located on side of supplying air duct is made in the form of diffuser with lining applied to its internal diameter. Stop located on side of discharge air duct is fully made of refractory material with internal section in the form of diffuser whose minimum inner diameter equals 1.03-1.05 of minimum inner diameter of cooled circular stop equal to inner diameter of supplying air duct. Ratio between value H of channel depth on side of cooled stop and value h of channel depth on side of stop from refractory material is 1.2-1.3. Generating line of internal surface of diffuser of cooled stop is parallel to internal surface of stop from refractory material. EFFECT: prolonged service life of slide valves. 1 dwg
