FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: hot-blast valve has refractory casing with cap and cooled refractory hollow disk with adjacent channels communicated one with the other and extending through disk center. Channels are defined by spiral walls which are inserted one into the other and connected with coolant supplying and discharge branch pipes. Outer spiral wall adjoins coolant supply branch pipe and defines with disk shell peripheral channel. Tubular insert disposed in peripheral channel has length making 0.6-0.7 of length of circle defined by axial line of peripheral channel. Ends of tubular insert are equally spaced from disk vertical axis. Area of peripheral channel section is 0.5-0.6 the area of section of channel defined by spiral walls, with tubular insert being taken into account. EFFECT: improved valve strength and resistance and prolonged service life. 3 dwg
