FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; blast furnace equipment. SUBSTANCE: hot blast valve includes lined cooled body with circular stops, cooled cover hermetically connected with body, wedge-shaped cooled shut-off disk with lined working surfaces and non-lined sealing surfaces which are engageable with sealing surfaces of circular stops; valve includes also pipes for delivery of cooling agent to disk and removal of it from disk; said pipes are connected with cover by means of spherical joints. Width of sealing surface of disk is equal to 0.7-0.8 of width of sealing surface of circular stop and ratio of area of sealing surface of disk to area of disk is equal to 0.07-0.09. Ratio of disk thickness in upper portion to its thickness in lower portion is equal 1.02-1.03. EFFECT: increased service life; reduced losses of heat. 2 cl, 2 dwg
