FIELD: experimental equipment for aerodynamic studies of vehicles flying at high Raynolds numbers and hyperhigh Mach numbers. SUBSTANCE: aerodynamic tunnel has precombustion chamber, nozzle and gas supply system. It is equipped with left and right pressure boosters placed in symmetry with formation of common precombustion chamber. Pistons of left and right pressure boosters are mounted for movement in opposition. Aerodynamic tunnel has system of hydraulic synchronization of travel of these pistons. This system comes in the form of double booster with two stepped pistons which are mounted to travel in opposite directions and form spaces with common chamber. These spaces formed by steps of each piston of double booster have equal cross-sections. One of spaces communicates with left booster and the other one with right booster with the use of pipe-lines. EFFECT: expanded experimental capabilities of aerodynamic tunnel by way of rise of limit temperatures , Reynolds numbers or duration of test. 1 dwg
