FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying computer-assisted image analysis system for determining brightness of the selected zones on the images produced. Total brightness of the light passing through and reflected by the cornea is determined, taking into account standard conditions of studies. The values received are used for determining optical density of the cornea. Keratoleukoma availability is detected from the difference of values corresponding to light reflected from the cornea and the sizes of cornea opacity or areas of defects.
