FIELD: instrument making, namely detecting levels of different liquids, for example in moving motor vehicles. SUBSTANCE: level meter includes generator, measuring and compensation capacitors, two capacitance-to-voltage converters, two variable resistors, two potentiometric dividers, two differential amplifiers, two voltage multipliers, three synchronous rectifiers, phase shifting circuit and two indicators. Apparatus allows to determine not only level of dielectric liquid but also its quality parameters and to detect level of current conductive liquid for thin dielectric film applied onto metallic portions of capacitors.
