FIELD: manufacture of carbon-carbon composite materials. SUBSTANCE: composite material is prepared by using liquid matrix-forming agents including, suspensions disposed throughout entire volume of semifinished product irrespective of nature of pores in semifinished product using simpler and less power-consuming method; time required to prepare composite materials and range thereof is cut down due to using various materials of semifinished products and fillers thereof. Method comprises saturation of porous semifinished product, it is immersed into solvent of matrix-forming agent under atmospheric pressure at temperature which is lower then solvent boiling temperature, and saturation is carried out by placing matrix-forming agent solution onto common boundary of porous semifinished product and solvent within closed space; in this case, volume of matrix-forming agent is by 10 to 15 times greater than volume of solvent that fills up porous semifinished product, and saturation process occurs at temperature which is equal or higher than solvent boiling temperature.
