FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology, antibiotics. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of benzylpenicillin diethylaminoethyl ester hydroiodide used as an antibiotic agent. Method involves the process of synthesis of benzylpenicillin diethylaminoethyl ester hydroiodide by interaction of benzylpenicillin alkaline metal salt with N-(2-chloroethyl)-diethylamine hydrochloride in the presence of hydroiodic acid alkaline salt in acetonitrile or N,N-dimethylformamide medium followed by isolation of the end product from reaction mass by acetonitrile or N,N-dimethyl-formamide distillation off under vacuum and crystallization of benzylpenicillin diethylaminoethyl ester hydroiodide in acetone medium. Obtained claimed product has activity 1000-1050 U/mg (theoretical activity is 1058 U/mg), melting point is 175-178 C, specific rotation is plus 150-155 deg. EFFECT: simplified technological process. 3 ex
