FIELD: oil refining; methods of deasphalting of petroleum residues by hydrocarbon solvents. SUBSTANCE: method includes extraction of petroleum residue by light hydrocarbon solvent accompanied by delivery of heat- transfer agent to coil located at the top of extraction column, regeneration of solvent from deasphalted and asphalt solutions through reduction of pressure and heating the heat-transfer agent of deasphalted solution in evaporators followed by stripping the solvent from deasphaltate in stripping column accompanied by delivery of heat-transfer agent and through heating the asphalt solution in furnace and stripping the solvent from asphalt in stripping column accompanied by delivery of solvent and compression of gaseous solvent discharge from stripping columns in compressor. Heat-transfer agent used for stripping the solvent from deasphaltate and asphalt is fed to preheater for heating the deasphalted and asphalt solution which are mounted before stripping columns and/or to preheaters mounted in lower portions of stripping columns; high-temperature organic heat-transfer agent is used for the purpose. Besides that, compression is effected by means of jet compressor; in this case, liquefied solvent is used as working fluid for compressor; this solvent is fed under pressure of 5.0 to 6.0 MPa.
