FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method includes sounding of tested region of atmosphere by electromagnetic radiation with fixed wave length, measurement of intensity of signals of radiation interaction with atmosphere on second wave length and reception of signals of interaction from specified number of points of tested region of atmosphere. Atmosphere is sounded in forward and backward directions and intensity of signals of interaction is measured on third wave length for both directions of sounding. Atmosphere is sounded on first wave length in cross direction to plane normal to plane formed by sounding and reception optical axes. EFFECT: raised accuracy of determination. 2 cl, 1 dwg
