FIELD: regeneration of granular filter materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of flushing liquid at simultaneous action on layer of filter material by ultrasonic field with the aid of acoustic radiators located in layer of filter material. Prior to feeding flushing liquid, layer of filter material is subjected to action of ultrasonic field at frequency of 5 to 50 kHz in precavitation mode in stagnant water. Action of ultrasonic field is effected over entire volume of filter Layer due to smooth distribution of acoustic radiators over section and height of filter material layer. EFFECT: reduced consumption of flushing water, power requirements and increased duration of effective work of filter. 2 cl, 1 dwg
