FIELD: mineral concentration, particularly, apparatuses for hydraulic classification and fractionation of mineral raw materials in ascending flow of liquid. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic classifier includes cylindrical-conical body whose lower part accommodates branch pipe for discharge of sands and branch pipe for pulp admission. From inlet end hydraulic classifier has a vessel with receiving tray and pocket with overflow lip and chute coming to overflow launder. The vessel together with classifier body forms communicating vessels in which edge of overflow lip is located above overflow edge of cylindrical chamber. Pocket lower part has slotted outlet to internal space of the vessel. Located inside the vessel against slotted outlet is inclined partition whose lower edge is short of the vessel bottom and upper edge is conjugated with chute. The vessel upper part of side wall is above inclined partition and has horizontal slot whose lower edge is above level of overflow lip. Secured to external side of side wall with slot is receiver with outlet branch pipe. Receiving tray and pocket have casing above them with branch pipe for air withdrawal.
