FIELD: powder metallurgy, particularly, production of iron-base powder materials infiltrated with copper alloys. SUBSTANCE: method includes formation of two-layer porous powder intermediate product by filling mold with base powder and its premolding under pressure of 50-400 MPa and subsequent filling of low-melting material in amount of 15-25% of base material weight and final pressing, sintering combined with impregnation. Low-melting material of surface layer of two-layer intermediate product is used in the form of chip wastes of copper-base nonferrous alloys. Pressure of final pressing of two-layer intermediate product is 600-800 MPa. EFFECT: reduced cost of production of composite materials with utilization of chips of nonferrous metals. 3 dwg, 4 ex
