FIELD: hydraulic engineering industry. SUBSTANCE: flange joint has pipelines to be jointed with flanges mounted on their ends. Flanges are coupled to each other along spherical surfaces: external (convex) on one of flanges and internal (concave) on the other flange. Spherical surfaces are provided on ends of flanges. Flange joint also includes sealing ring made of elastic material, for example, rubber. Ring is arranged in circular recess on external spherical surface of one flange. It interacts with internal spherical surface of reciprocal flange. Circular groove is made on internal spherical surface of reciprocal flange coaxially with the latter. Groove accommodates supporting ring of rectangular shape, for example, made of hard plastically deformable material, for example, aluminum, protruding with respect to spherical surface of said flange and enveloping sealing ring in assembly. The invention provides for more effective sealing at high pressure of 100 MPa in pipeline. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 cl, 1 dwg
