FIELD: high-speed data transmission systems. SUBSTANCE: single-mode optical fiber is intended for use in data transmission systems of high speed having large regeneration sections. Fiber includes core made of three different regions characterized by certain differences of refractive indices. Radii of regions are so chosen that total dispersion amounts to 0,5-3 ps/nm•km in range of wave lengths from 1530-1570 nm and losses caused by bents are less than 12 dB. Fiber limits phase self-modulation and four-wave mixing, facilitates multiplexing and is compatible with optical amplifiers. EFFECT: improved functional characteristics of fiber. 7 cl, 7 dwg, 1 tbl
