SUBSTANCE: proposed optical waveguide has low slope of complete depression, relatively large diameter of field of mode, larger effective area and comparatively simple structure of profile of refractive index of core. Profile of refractive index of core includes three regions. Capability for tuning of height, width and position of three regions of profile of refractive index of core provides for flexibility sufficient to achieve correspondence with technical requirements imposed on waveguide fiber capable of limitation of four-photon shift or phase self-modulation.
