FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: one of three light beams used in agreement with proposed method has longest and another light beam has shortest wave length. These light beams are generated with the aid of optical parametric generator and other nonlinear optical elements on basis of signal and/or free beam of optical parametric generator and/or primary light beam whose product is also excitation beam of optical parametric generator. In correspondence with invention one partial light beam is separated from primary light beam to excite optical parametric generator and light beam with shortest wave length is obtained on basis of signal and/or free beams of optical parametric generator by multiplication and mixing of frequency of it with that of another partial light beam separated from primary light beam with exclusion of components of other light beams different from light beams of shortest and longest wave lengths generated for reproduction of images.
