SUBSTANCE: device has star-connected motor stator winding connected through make contacts of running contactor to supply mains, three diodes, and three thyristors; diode anodes are connected to thyristor cathodes and each phase is connected to supply mains; diode cathodes are coupled with respective phases of motor and thyristor anodes are interconnected and connected to stator winding star. Novelty is introduction of six additional diodes, capacitor, and braking contactor with four make contacts; each pair of diodes is connected in parallel opposition; first leads of diode pairs are connected to respective cathodes of main diodes and their second leads are interconnected and connected to first plate of capacitor; each phase of common points of connection of main-cathode diodes and those of first leads of diode pairs are connected through three make contacts of braking contactor to motor phase leads; second plate of capacitor is connected through fourth make contact of braking contactor to stator winding star.
