DEVICE FOR MAKING FLAT TWO-LAYER ARTICLES AND CONNECTING MECHANISM USED IN DEVICE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; automobile license plates. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has technologically coupled mechanism for fastening and unreeling of backup material roll and straightening machine to straighten up fed tape. Device has also technologically coupled facing material roll fastening and unreeling mechanism, facing tape to be applied by sticky surface on back up material, mechanism for connecting back material with facing material, mechanism for pressing and stamping two-layer semifinished product ready articles piler and control panel with computer unit connected to synchronizing outputs of mechanisms. Device has linear dimensions monitoring system with linear dimensions pickups installed in pressing and stamping mechanism and set of operating members. Linear dimensions monitoring system is connected with control panel. Set of operating members is installed in combination mechanism for acting on the mechanisms if linear dimensions deviate from preset values for correcting the dimensions as required. Invention provides for making backup material with artificial facing material connecting mechanism furnished with electric pickups for checking state of facing material: physical condition of material, patterns on material, temperature conditions. Control panel coupled with pickups is made for monitoring current linear dimensions of facing material by check points and providing preset degree of extension by acting onto drives of corresponding shafts.
