FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cooling of internal combustion engines with recovery of cooling liquid heat. In proposed liquid cooling system recovery heat exchanger is connected in series with radiator and located between two thermostats one of which is adjusted for opening at minimum cooling liquid temperature and the other, placed before radiator, is adjusted for opening at corresponding maximum tolerable cooling liquid temperature at engine output. Recovery heat exchanger has constant heat suply from cooling liquid of engine. EFFECT: improved efficiency of cooling liquid heat recovery. 2 cl, 2 dwg
