FIELD: cooling systems.
SUBSTANCE: system for comprehensive utilization of exhaust gas energy in the motor-transmission unit of a self-propelled vehicle is proposed, containing a utilization circuit and a heat consumption circuit, including an internal combustion engine, turbocharger 1, heat exchanger 4 installed after turbocharger 1, heat accumulator 6, and expansion tank 10. Heat exchanger 4 is cooled by a device that includes electrically driven circulation pump 11, radiator 9 with electric fan 13 and electromagnetic valve 12 controlled by emergency 5 and working 7 temperature sensors. A method is also proposed, implemented by means of the described system, which makes it possible to prevent boiling of the coolant at the moment the engine is stopped and to ensure protection of components and assemblies from overheating after the engine is stopped.
EFFECT: significant improvement in thermal efficiency of fuel combustion, reduced time spent on maintenance of the system and warming up of the vehicle, improved efficiency of the engine-transmission unit, and increased availability factor during inter-shift parking.
