FIELD: self-controlled liquid heaters of off-line heating and hot-water supply systems for cottages, industrial and servicing premises, and the like. SUBSTANCE: separate sections of sectionalized electrode are made of several layers in cross-sectional area. One of them is posistor adjusted to desired setting temperature corresponding to permissible liquid heating temperature and used to ensure heater operation in automatic-control mode. Temperature increase of liquid being heated to permissible preset value cuts off posistor and further liquid heating within this section ceases until this liquid and, hence, posistor layer 6 cool down below change-over setting temperature.
