FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves studying human instincts like cognitive, sexual, alimentary, maternal (paternal) and self-preservation one. The degree of their expression and interaction with 5-level score system. The instincts under study are classified as primary elements according to Wu- Sin and Yin-Yang concepts. Each of 5 instincts being manifested at the level of 3 scores with harmony, stability, usefulness and primary element equilibrium being available in interaction of all instincts, psychophysical health state is evaluated as norm. Even if one of five instincts is evaluated in more and/or less than 3 scores with no harmony, stability, usefulness and primary element equilibrium being available in interaction of all instincts, psychophysical health state disorder and dysadaptation leading to psychosomatic diseases is considered to be the case.
