FIELD: multi-purpose catalysts. SUBSTANCE: catalyst is prepared by mixing manganese dioxide, copper oxide, and "talum" followed by adding 7 to 20 wt % of bentonite clay, granulation, hydrothermal treatment, drying, and calcination. Catalyst can be used for degrading damaging impurities, for example ozone in ozone-involving processes (water treating, waste water treatment, treatment of semiconductors in electronic industry, sterilization in medicine, and disinfecting in agriculture) and also for other industrial and environment-protection purposes. EFFECT: essentially reduced wear of dies in industrial production of catalyst with the same productivity level. 12 tbl, 3 ex
