FIELD: inorganic synthesis catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst employed for decomposition of ozone at entertainments utilizing the latter in order to free gas mixtures from carbon monoxide as well as for other industrial and nature-conservative objectives. Catalyst is prepared by mixing initial material, in particular exhausted manganese dioxide-based carbon monoxide oxidation catalyst, copper oxide, and binding agent, in particular bentonite clay, with water, after which resulting product is granulated, dried, ground, and thermally treated. Before granulation, further 0.5-4.5% (based on the weight of initial material) of bentonite clay superinduced is added. EFFECT: considerably increased strength of catalyst. 1 tbl, 3 ex
