FIELD: sorption technics. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to prepare adsorbent-catalysts with elevated strength and high ion-exchange capacity and catalytic activity adequate for absorbing harmful substances from aqueous solutions and drinking water as well as for removing carbon monoxide from gas-air streams. Carbon-mineral adsorbent-catalyst now proposed contains, wt %: zeolite, 20-35; activated carbon, 20-30; bentonite clay, 20-40; manganese dioxide, 5-15; and products of destruction of thermosetting synthetic carbon materials, the balance.
