FIELD: organic chemistry, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention describes novel derivatives of phenylalkylcarboxylic acid of the formula (I) where R1 means alkyl-group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R21 is alkylene group with linear or branched chain having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms; R3 is hydrogen atom; Z is alkylene group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms; W means: (i) alkyl-group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 6 carbon atom; (ii) alkoxy- group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; (iii) alkylthio-group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; (iv) amino-group; (v) mono- alkylamino-group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; (vi) dialkylamino-group with linear or branched chain where alkyl-groups are similar or distinct and each group has from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; (vii) N-alkyl-N-aryl- amino-group having alkyl with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and aryl moiety having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms; (viii) arylhydroxy-group having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms that can has one substituent α indicated below, in aryl moiety; (ix) arylthio-group having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms; (x) arylamino-group having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms; (xi) aralkyl-group having from 7 to 12 carbon atoms or (xii) 1-pyrrolyl group; X means aryl-group having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms that can has one substituent α indicated below being substituent α means: (i) alkyl-group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms; (ii) halogenated alkyl- group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; (iii) halogen atom; (iv) aryl-group having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms and aryl moiety can be substituted with alkoxy- group with linear or branched chain having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms or halogen atom; or (v) pyridyl; Y means oxygen atom, their pharmacologically acceptable salts of pharmacologically acceptable esters. The above indicated new derivatives of phenylalkylcarboxylic acid show high activity in decrease blood glucose level as well as their pharmacologically acceptable salts and pharmacologically acceptable esters. Invention describes also the composition containing indicated compound as an active component used for treatment or prophylaxis of hyperglycaemia, their use for drug preparing used for treatment and prophylaxis of hyperglycaemia.
