FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, methods of processing of copper sulfide concentrates, including nickel-containing ones into blister copper. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging of mixture into vessel, blowing of melt with oxygen-containing gas to form oxidized and metal phases; maintenance of required ratio of height of layers of oxidized and metal phases, and tapping of heat products. In this case, concentrate is melted with ratio of concentrate charging and supply of oxygen-containing gas within 0.3-1.3 of theoretically needed for oxidation of all sulfur and impurities (iron, nickel, etc) to oxides. Height of oxideslag layer is maintained within 0.3-0.8 of total height of melt bath by varying ratio of concentrated charging to supply of oxygen-containing gas. EFFECT: reduced energy and material inputs and decreased losses of nonferrous metals and effluents of sulfur to atmosphere. 3 cl, 1 tbl, 8 ex
